Premises which are licensed to sell alcohol for consumption on the premises (such as public houses) are entitled to have gaming machines at their premises.
There is an automatic entitlement to 2 category C or D machines, although you must notify the council of your intention to make such machines available for use.
We can also issue gaming machine permits which allow more than 2 category C or D gaming machines to be provided.
We aim to process your application within 5 working days of receipt.
Notification of no more than 2 machines
The notification must be applied for by the holder of the premises licence issued under the Licensing Act 2003.
Download and complete the application form [PDF 113KB] and submit with the fee of £50.
The fee is a one off so no annual fee is payable. If the holder of the premises (alcohol) licence changes, a new notification must be applied for.
