from April 2024, all working parents of children aged 2 years can access 15 hours per week.
from September 2024, all working parents of children aged 9 months up to 3-years-old can access 15 hours per week.
If your child is aged between 9 and 23 months
- Working parents will be entitled to 15 hours of childcare from September 2024
- You will be able to register for up to 570 hours of funded childcare per year if you meet the criteria. That's 15 hours per week over 38 weeks. This will increase to 30 hours per week from September 2025 onwards
- Your child can start childcare from the term after they turn 9 months old
When to apply
We recommend you apply no more than 3 months before you're eligible to claim.
You must have a valid code by the end of the month before a new term starts. You must reconfirm your code every 3 months, even if you have not started funded childcare.
