Notice pursuant to Schedule 3, paragraph 1 of confirmation of an Article 4 Direction – Borough Wide
Notice is hereby given that Blackpool Borough Council (“the Council”), being the appropriate local planning authority, that it has confirmed an Article 4(1) Direction on Wednesday 23 February 2022 under Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015, as amended (“the Order”). The Order was made on 1 October 2021. The Direction applies whole of the Borough of Blackpool as shown edged black (for identification purposes only) on the Plan below and as detailed in the Second Schedule of the Direction
The Direction relates to development in the First Schedule, which is attached to the Direction, and removes permitted development rights for these types of development from the date when the Direction comes into force. Planning Permission will therefore be required for development comprised within the First Schedule once the Direction is in force.
A copy of the confrmed Direction, including the plan defining the area covered to which it relates, can be viewed on the Council’s website under www.blackpool.gov.uk and at the Council’s Customer First, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool between the hours of 9.30am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. A copy is also available to be viewed until 27 April 2022 during its opening hours at the following locations:
- Blackpool Central Library, Queen Street, Blackpool, FY1 1PX.
- Bickerstaff Reception 1 Bickerstaffe Square, Talbot Road ,Blackpool FY1 3AH .
The Direction will come into force on 3 October 2022.
