Development management
This section deals with all planning applications for the development of and changes to use of premises. These can range from small house extensions to major new developments, ensuring development is in accordance with the council's planning policies, guidance and objectives whilst creating a high quality, attractive, safe, healthy and sustainable environment.
It seeks to negotiate changes and improvements to development proposals to ensure that they meet all requirements, or refuses planning permission where problems cannot be resolved.

Planning enforcement
